Writing Prompt #10: Brand New Enigma

News of the World.

Patriot Act.

Are we all feeling less than secure with our technology these days? Afraid to talk on the phone, walk outside, turn on the television. Big Brother seems to be everywhere.

So, now that we realize George Orwell (and Cory Doctorow in Little Brother) were right, what now?

Here’s your writing prompt this week:

Set up a scenario of government/media high-tech spying and let the populace (or you) get revenge. Doesn’t have to be too techie in description, just a “What Would You Do?” kind of thing.

Or maybe we don’t get revenge. It’s up to you.

Wouldn’t that be a nice palliative for the frustration we all feel about losing our privacy? The pen is mightier than the sword, they say.

If you use this prompt for an online story, please let me know so I can read your it. If you want to use the image, it is one I purchased online, so please credit me as the source.

Go. Write. Let justice be done
